Neil's wandering blog ... back from China and into debt

Wandering around Africa and Asia, reputedly working on water systems, sanitation and health education. Plus a bit of fixing accounts and business plans ... and even a bit of teaching English and fiddle. But now back in Scotland for at least a year, working with others to get alongside people with debt problems.

Sangstream in Comrie

A great weekend away with the choir and friends at Comrie Croft, betwen Crieff and Comrie. As well as the 55 or so of ourselves, we were joined on the Saturday evening by a choir from Birnam which is directed by Christine Kydd ... who just so happens to have been our first musical director ten years ago. And a strange thing happened. Every time the Birnam folk struck up a song, the Sangstream old hands jumped in with gusto, because we recognised it from the material and arrangements we had ten years ago. Nostalgia!

There was snow ...

... and song ...

... and the traditional annual Sangstream play, which was Pure Dead Brilliant (and Frank) ...

... and food ...

... and more song ...

... but eventually we began to crash out. Time for bed. See you next year.
